Accounts and HR Executive

Vellore, India

The Accounts and HR Executive will manage the company's financial and human resources functions, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. This role is responsible for overseeing the employee life cycle, from recruitment to offboarding, while also maintaining accurate financial records and supporting payroll and administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

Human Resources functions:

  • Recruitment and onboarding:
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including creating job descriptions, posting ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct new-hire orientation to help new employees acclimate to the company culture and policies.
  • Complete and maintain all new-hire documentation, including background checks and I-9 forms.
  • Employee relations:
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, and payroll.
  • Address and resolve employee grievances and conflicts in a fair and professional manner.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive employee information.
  • Performance management and development:
  • Coordinate employee performance reviews and support managers in delivering feedback.
  • Identify training needs and help organize professional development sessions for employees.
  • Compliance and policy management:
  • Ensure all HR practices and company policies comply with federal and state labor laws.
  • Develop, update, and communicate new HR policies and procedures to the team.
  • Offboarding:
  • Manage employee exit processes, including conducting exit interviews and handling separation paperwork.

Accounting functions:

  • Payroll and benefits administration:
  • Prepare and process monthly or bi-monthly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Assist with administering employee benefits, including enrollments, terminations, and monthly reconciliation of benefits statements.
  • Financial record-keeping:
  • Maintain accurate day-to-day financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Reporting:
  • Assist with preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Generate regular reports on HR and accounting metrics for management review.
  • Tax and compliance:
  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual tax reports, such as TDS and GST.
  • Coordinate with external auditors as needed to finalize accounts.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in human resources, accounting, business administration, or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience: Previous work experience in a combined HR and accounts role is often preferred.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and HR Information Systems (HRIS) is essential.
  • General skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
