Our client operates a retail business with a high volume of daily transactions, including bank, credit card, and inventory-related activity. The business relies on structured systems and internal managers to handle ordering and operations, and is now seeking additional remote support to strengthen inventory accuracy and financial verification.

About the role:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support our client’s retail operations. The primary focus of this role is to act as a third-party verifier to ensure inventory records and financial data accurately match real-time store activity.

This role requires someone who is methodical, trustworthy, and comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and inventory systems. The candidate will work closely with the client’s general manager and store staff to verify inventory counts, manage backlog inventory checks, and flag discrepancies proactively.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working remotely, coordinating with on-ground store employees, and maintaining accurate records. Strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and a long-term mindset are essential for success in this role.

Experience with inventory systems, bookkeeping support, and Excel-based tracking is highly preferred.

Fluency In English Is Required.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Verify inventory records against physical store counts on a weekly category-based schedule.
  • Coordinate with store staff to conduct real-time inventory counts and confirmations.
  • Identify discrepancies between system data and physical inventory and flag issues promptly.
  • Assist with clearing backlog inventory management tasks.
  • Review and reconcile basic financial records related to retail transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy across inventory, bank, and credit card transaction records.
  • Maintain organized records and update spreadsheets or inventory systems as required.
  • Work directly with the manager to support operational accuracy and transparency.

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in inventory management, bookkeeping support, accounting support, or operational finance roles.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies quickly.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and inventory platforms.
  • Clear and professional English communication skills.
  • A background in accounting is preferred.

Experience with inventory management software is a plus.

Position: Accounts Assistant

Remote Status: Fully Remote

Working Hours: 9 am to 5 pm CST

Salary: USD 1,000 - USD 1,200 per month
