Job Description – Accounts Assistant Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate should have strong numerical skills, basic accounting knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry and transaction processing.
- Maintain and update financial records in accounting software.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and expense reports.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Support in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in payroll processing and statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF, etc.).
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding payments and outstanding dues.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance (internship/fresher with strong knowledge may be considered).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
