Accounts Assistant

About the role

Lumenco Canada is a B2B lighting and electrical supply distributor based in Québec, Canada. We are looking for a sharp, self-directed Accounts Assistant to manage our day-to-day financial operations independently. You will report directly to our Operations Manager and be expected to own your responsibilities with minimal oversight — this role suits someone who takes initiative, communicates proactively, and is comfortable working autonomously within a remote team structure.

Responsibilities

  • Process supplier and customer invoices accurately and on time using QuickBooks Online
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including payment runs and follow-ups
  • Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
  • Maintain up-to-date financial records, databases, and spreadsheets
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports and summaries for management
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager on purchase orders, supplier credits, and cost tracking
  • Flag discrepancies and resolve issues independently, escalating only when necessary
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities as directed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and spoken English (required)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage your own workload without day-to-day supervision
  • Comfortable working with a Canadian-based team across time zones
  • Experience in a distribution, wholesale, or e-commerce environment is an asset

Shift hours : 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM PKT Monday to Friday · Office-based

Reports to: Operations Manager

Language requirement : English — professional written and spoken fluency required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs45,000.00 - Rs65,000.00 per month
