Core Roles and Responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain general ledger, journals, and reconciliations
2. Taxation & VAT Compliance
- Handle UAE VAT compliance:
- VAT registration and deregistration
- VAT return filing (usually quarterly)
- VAT reconciliations and documentation
- Coordinate with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
- Support VAT audits and respond to FTA queries
3. Corporate Tax
- Calculate and manage UAE Corporate Tax
- Ensure timely corporate tax registration and filing
- Maintain proper tax records and documentation
- Advise management on tax-efficient structures
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage supplier invoices and payments
- Track customer invoices and collections
- Perform aging analysis and follow up on overdue balances
- Ensure accurate cash flow reporting
5. Payroll & WPS Compliance
- Process payroll accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with Wage Protection System (WPS)
- Calculate end-of-service benefits (gratuity) as per UAE Labour Law
- Maintain employee payroll records
6. Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Prepare budgets and forecasts
- Monitor actual vs budget performance
- Provide financial insights to support management decisions
- Analyse costs and profitability
7. Audit & Internal Controls
- Assist internal and external auditors
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails
- Implement and monitor internal controls
- Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE regulations
Requirements:
- B. Com Graduate from University
- Candidate must be a male
- Candidate must be on visit visa
- Strong knowledge of VAT & Corporate Tax
- Proficiency in MS Excel – V-Look-up
- Analytical and reporting skills
- Young Graduate (Fresher) can apply
- Experience in Auditing Firm will be an advantage
