Job Overview

Alzayani Investments is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team in Sitrah, Bahrain. This full-time position will play a crucial role within the Automotive division, providing essential support to the finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes. Responsibilities
 

  • Identifying the receivables transfers received in the bank and in consultation with the credit department. prepare the Receipt voucher keep it in the customer file and post the bank entry.
  • Credit Card Statements download and allocate the receipts. Reconcile the same with the receipts issued and all the amounts are credited to the bank, no rejections or batch failures do not happen. Ensure each receipt is tallied with the credit card statement cross check with the card slip and the amount in the SOA. Account for the credit card charges and it should be within the agreement amount with credimax.
  • Allocation of PDC receipts and offsets of receivables against payables.
  • Generating Invoices and Credit notes for the PDC Customer Interest Charges, Admin Charges, early settlement ad hoc invoices
  • Preparation of necessary banking documentations, Transfer cheques, letters and forward for the approvals of signatories.\
  • Company credit card statements download and follow up for the supporting documents from Marketing, Traffic and HR departments. Prepare the top up request for the customs credits based on the requirements of vehicles to be cleared approved by CA & GM.
  • Follow up for the Electricity & water bills and entry in the system based on the cost centers on monthly basis.
  • Prepare the Lease Invoices in the system as per the monthly lease contracts due and handover to the Credit Department for submissions.
  • Preparation of Receipts and Allocations of Payments received against receivables from Ministry Leases and other receivables. Ensure correct postings and allocation on the ledger accounts and the outstanding’s if any to be communicated to CA.
  • Sending requests for Performance Bonds, issue, renewal through SNIC for the various Ministry tenders, existing lease contracts. Arranging security cheques for the same to be issued to SNIC and ensuring that the cheques are returned to us on the expiry of the contracts or of the bonds.
  • Marketing claims preparation with necessary supporting’s as per Manufacturer requirements and submit for necessary approvals.
  • PDC Cheques custodian, ensuring timely deposit of cheques, follow-up for the `bounced cheques, coordination with Credit Officer for intimating to customers. Posting of reversals in system and providing SOA for follow ups.
  • Assisting in the updating of beneficiary system for the dishonored cheques.
  • Fixed Assets Updation on the AZI Group Asset Management software and labelling of assets, bar code sticker generation, identifying the assets and fixing the stickers, checking for the missing items, assisting internal auditor in the physical verification of assets, and clearing all the Audit queries and reconciling the same with the system Asset Register. Preparing reconcialtion of the Asset Software Management data with the drive Fixed Asset Register.
  • Record Keeping and maintaining track for the files, JVs, Bank Documents submitted and received. Ensure proper fillings of the records and safe custody of Records Room Keys.
  • Support the accounts department and handle stationery items requests.
  • Assisting in Physical Stock counts for Parts and Vehicles for various Audit related works
  • Leave Cover for Accountant/Cashiers
  • Provide clerical and/or secretarial assistance/escort for banking purposes in the absence of the other staff.
  • Such other Jobs as are assigned from time to time by the CA.
     

Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting.
  • 2 -3 years of proven experience in an accounts assistant or similar role, ideally within the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
