Job Title: Automotive Accounts Biller

Reports To: Office Manager, Controller, or Accounting Manager
Position Summary
The Automotive Accounts Biller is responsible for processing vehicle sales transactions, preparing and submitting billing documents, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer requirements. This position works closely with sales, finance, and accounting departments to ensure timely and accurate posting of deals and payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify vehicle sales contracts, lease agreements, and finance documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Process vehicle sales transactions and post deals into the dealership management system (DMS).
- Prepare customer invoices and billing statements.
- Submit funding packages to lenders and financial institutions.
- Process title, registration, and licensing paperwork as required.
- Reconcile vehicle sales, receivables, and related accounting records.
- Monitor outstanding contracts and follow up on missing documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory transactions.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
- Communicate with sales, finance, lenders, and customers regarding billing discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and dealership regulations.
- Support audits by providing documentation and reports as requested.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
- Previous automotive dealership billing or accounting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar) preferred.
- Understanding of automotive sales, financing, titling, and registration processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
