We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our growing Account and Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of proven experience in the Bridal Couture industry, coupled with a strong foundation in accounting principles. This role will be crucial in managing financial transactions, analyzing data, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will work closely with various departments to optimize financial processes and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Process and reconcile daily transactions, including cash, credit, and payments.
- Manage inventory reconciliation and analyze stock movement reports.
- Monitor and report on performance, including sales, margins, and expenses.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze data to identify trends and provide insights to management.
Accounts Receivable and Payable Management:
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and resolving customer discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and reconciling vendor statements.
- Monitor and analyze aging reports for both receivables and payables.
- Implement and maintain effective credit control procedures.
- Negotiate payment terms with vendors and customers as needed.
Accounting and Finance:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash flow management.
- Assist with audits and compliance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Generate and analyze financial reports using accounting software and Excel.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to retail and finance.
- Present financial data and insights to management in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (BCom) or a related field.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in an accounting or finance role within the Bridal Couture industry, with demonstrable experience in managing accounts receivable and payable.
- Strong understanding of financial operations and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations related to the retail sector is a plus.
