Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations. This role requires ownership of billing, follow-ups, payroll processing, and internal financial tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Collections
- Prepare and send client invoices as per agreed billing cycles
- Track due dates and outstanding payments
- Follow up with clients via calls and messages for pending payments
- Maintain a clear record of received vs pending payments
Payroll & Attendance
- Calculate completed work hours of employees
- Process monthly salaries accurately and on time
- Track leaves, unpaid leaves, and deductions
- Coordinate with management for approvals before payroll release
Accounts & Records
- Maintain day-to-day accounts and expense records
- Track agency expenses and reimbursements
- Assist in monthly financial summaries and reporting
- Coordinate with CA for GST filings, compliance, and returns
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with the founder and operations team
- Maintain clean, up-to-date Excel/Sheets trackers
- Flag delays, discrepancies, or irregularities proactively
Required Skills & Traits
- Strong working knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets
- Comfortable with phone follow-ups and professional communication
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Prior experience in a service-based business or agency is a plus
Good to Have
- Knowledge of GST basics and invoicing
- Experience handling payroll for small teams
- Familiarity with accounting software ( Zoho / similar)
