Position Summary:
The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing and executing a wide range of accounting duties, including month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Senior Accountant will also assist in developing and improving accounting processes and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly (e.g., cash, AR, AP, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals).
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or IFRS, as applicable).
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Review and analyze financial data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Manage or support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure proper accounting for departmental activities.
  • Support special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CA Inter from ICAI candidate strongly preferred.
Experience:
  • 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or corporate accounting preferred).
  • Experience with general ledger systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Software Implementation Exp.
  • Prior experience in month-end close and reconciliations required.
Skills:
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
