Position Summary:
The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing and executing a wide range of accounting duties, including month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Senior Accountant will also assist in developing and improving accounting processes and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly (e.g., cash, AR, AP, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals).
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or IFRS, as applicable).
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
- Review and analyze financial data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Manage or support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure proper accounting for departmental activities.
- Support special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CA Inter from ICAI candidate strongly preferred.
Experience:
- 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or corporate accounting preferred).
- Experience with general ledger systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho, etc.).
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Software Implementation Exp.
- Prior experience in month-end close and reconciliations required.
