Accounts Executive – Hospitality (Standalone Restaurant)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Executive with a strong background in the hospitality industry, specifically in managing accounts for standalone restaurants. The ideal candidate will handle all accounting responsibilities and provide support to the Purchase Manager in daily operations. The candidate must have solid knowledge of UAE tax regulations, including VAT filing and tax submissions. Immediate availability is required.

Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for the restaurant.
• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Review, record, and verify all supplier invoices and payment vouchers.
• Manage petty cash, bank deposits, and daily cash flow reports.
• Conduct monthly closing activities and ensure timely reporting.
• Monitor budget variances and support management with financial insights.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and UAE financial regulations.

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns accurately and on time.
• Assist with tax audits, financial audits, and regulatory submissions.
• Maintain proper documentation for tax compliance and audit requirements.

Purchase & Inventory Support

• Assist and coordinate with the Purchase Manager in sourcing, supplier follow-ups, and price comparisons.
• Review purchase orders, GRNs, LPOs, and supplier contracts.
• Support inventory control, stock reconciliation, and cost management.
• Verify supplier pricing, delivery notes, and update the system accordingly.

Operational Support

• Work closely with restaurant operations for daily sales reconciliation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, finance team, and management regarding payments and outstanding balances.
• Ensure timely handling of financial documentation, approvals, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting within the hospitality or standalone restaurant industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, tax filing, and financial compliance.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (experience with restaurant POS or ERP systems is an advantage).
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and support multiple departments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
