The Accounts Executive is responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations of the hotel, ensuring accurate financial records, statutory compliance, and timely reporting in line with hospitality industry standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Finance Operations
- Maintain daily accounting records including vouchers, journal entries, and ledgers
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and verify bills, invoices, and payment vouchers
- Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, and cash transactions
- Maintain bank book and cash book
2. Hotel Revenue & Cost Control
- Verify daily revenue reports from Front Office, F&B, and Banquets
- Reconcile POS reports with system data
- Monitor expenses and assist in cost control measures
- Track departmental expenses and budgets
3. Statutory Compliance (India)
- Ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
- Handle TDS calculations and returns
- Maintain PF & ESIC records and coordinate with HR
- Assist in statutory audits and internal audits
4. Payroll Support
- Assist in salary processing and payroll accounting
- Verify attendance, overtime, incentives, and deductions
- Maintain employee reimbursement and advance records
5. Reconciliation & Reporting
- Perform bank reconciliation statements (BRS)
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts
- Assist in monthly MIS reports and financial statements
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
6. Vendor & Asset Management
- Coordinate with vendors for payments and reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation records
- Track AMC, contracts, and service agreements
