Job Summary
The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, planning, budgeting, and reporting functions of the company. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, the ability to manage and guide a finance team, and in-depth knowledge of real estate finance practices. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting management in decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations including accounts, billing, receivables, payables, and cash flow.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
- Ensure timely closing of books and compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and business opportunities.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide insights for improvement.
- Support management with financial projections for new projects and investments.
Real Estate Finance Expertise
- Manage project costing, budgeting, revenue recognition, and cash-flow planning for real estate projects.
- Handle RERA-related financial documentation and compliance (if applicable).
- Oversee project funding, loan documentation, and coordination with banks/NBFCs.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance and accounts team.
- Set clear goals, oversee performance, and ensure continuous skill development.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Projects, Sales, Procurement, and HR.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESI, and audit activities.
- Develop and implement financial controls, SOPs, and risk-management practices.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for smooth audit processes.
Strategic Support
- Provide insights to management for business decisions.
- Support in financial modelling, investment evaluation, and feasibility studies.
- Contribute to cost-optimization initiatives and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in the Real Estate/Construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, taxation, and compliance.
- Proven experience in team handling and leadership.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally/ERP), MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
