Job description:
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate posting of entries.
- Prepare and review financial statements — Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Monitor general ledger accounts and ensure proper reconciliation.
- Prepare management reports and MIS for leadership review.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Oversee billing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Review and approve purchase bills, expense claims, and vendor reconciliations.
- Track customer payments and follow up for outstanding dues.
- Maintain proper documentation for all transactions.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns.
- Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
- Maintain compliance with all accounting standards and legal regulations.
- Handle assessment queries and correspondence with tax authorities.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Assist management in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Monitor budget variances and report financial performance insights.
- Support cost-control initiatives and optimize financial efficiency.
Payroll & Statutory Contributions
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with PF, ESI, and PT.
- Maintain employee reimbursement records and related approvals.
Team & Process Management
- Lead and mentor the accounts team to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
- Implement internal controls and accounting best practices.
- Coordinate with other departments for financial data and reports.
Key Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of Tally / ERP / SAP / Excel
- Sound understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory laws
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Leadership and team management ability
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting
- 5–10 years of experience in accounting or financial management
