The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with financial regulations, and managing daily accounting activities. The role involves supervising accounting staff, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and supporting strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Support senior management with financial analysis and strategic planning
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
