Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management

  • Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, revenue, and expenses.
  • Ensure timely closing of monthly and annual accounts.

2. Revenue & Cost Control

  • Verify daily revenue reports from Front Office, F&B, and Banquets.
  • Monitor room revenue, food & beverage sales, and other income.
  • Control operational costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Review purchase bills and expenses for accuracy and authorization.

3. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Handle accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
  • Manage petty cash and cash controls.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation records.

4. Statutory & Tax Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Professional Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and file GST returns and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
  • Ensure timely payment of taxes and statutory dues.

5. Payroll & Salary Administration

  • Process monthly payroll for hotel staff.
  • Maintain salary records, attendance, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and wage regulations.

6. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance.
  • Provide variance analysis and recommendations to management.

7. Inventory & Stores Control

  • Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, and operating supplies.
  • Coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments.
  • Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation.

8. Internal Controls & Audits

  • Implement internal financial controls.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record retention.

9. Coordination & Reporting

  • Work closely with Front Office, F&B, HR, and Purchase departments.
  • Provide financial insights to the General Manager/Owner.
  • Assist management in financial decision-making.
