Position: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT / Accounts Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager /Senior Accountant to oversee and manage the financial accounting, reporting, and compliance functions within our Oil & Gas Trading. This role requires a deep understanding of industry-specific financial processes, including joint venture accounting, project costing, logistics operations, and international trade compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, reconciliations, and financial consolidations.
- Maintain compliance with tax laws, VAT, customs duties, and local regulatory requirements.
Cost & Project Accounting:
- Track and analyze costs related to drilling, production, logistics operations, and transportation.
- Work closely with operations and project managers to monitor project budgets, actuals, and variances.
- Manage joint venture billing, cost recovery, and audit preparation.
Logistics & Inventory Accounting:
- Reconcile inventory and asset movements between warehouses, vessels, and field locations.
- Monitor freight charges, demurrage, fuel consumption, and customs-related financial activities.
- Ensure accurate accounting of logistics support services, including subcontractor expenses.
Internal Controls & Audit:
- Maintain robust internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Recommend and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and compliance.
ERP & Systems Support:
- Work within ERP systems to maintain data integrity.
- Assist in system upgrades, process automation, and financial reporting enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent (required or preferred).
- Minimum of 5–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in Oil & Gas or Logistics industries.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, joint venture accounting, and cost allocation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with upstream/downstream oil operations, shipping logistics, or EPC projects.
- Understanding of international trade, customs processes, and freight forwarding.
- Familiarity with country-specific compliance

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
