Key responsibilities
- Accounting and financial reconciliation:
- Post room charges and taxes.
- Balance all cash and credit card transactions from the day.
- Prepare and reconcile daily financial reports, ensuring accuracy.
- Process invoices and payments.
- Administrative and other duties:
- Ensure all end-of-day tasks are completed by previous shift personnel.
- Potentially oversee other night staff or assist with basic security checks.
- Communicate with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance) to address issues.
Required skills and qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good mathematical abilities and attention to detail for financial tasks.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with hospitality and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and handle tasks during quiet overnight hours.
