Accounts Officer

Position: Accounts Supervisor

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounts Officer at Gerry's Group in Karāchi. The role involves overseeing all aspects of the accounting department's daily operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage petty cash and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Assist the manager in financial reporting and analysis.
• Post bank payment vouchers and ensure accurate processing.
• Maintain and manage general ledgers.
• Post BRVs (Bank Receipt Vouchers), BPVs (Bank Payment Vouchers), and CPVs (Cash Payment Vouchers) into the system.
• Generate accurate and timely invoices for customers.
• Reconcile IATA CASS reports and generate invoices accordingly.
• Issue debit and credit notes to foreign agents.
• Ensure all costs and revenues related to jobs are posted into the system.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field.

Work Experience:

3 – 5 years relevant work experience of Freight Forwarding industry.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Proficiency in financial transactions and ERP software.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, and receivable.
• Strong skills in Excel and ledger management.
• Experience with airline reconciliation (would be a plus)
• Ability to handle financial records with precision and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications
• Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles
