Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an NGO/development sector.
- Strong command of MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Sound understanding of financial controls, budgeting, and reporting.
- Knowledge of donor compliance, grants management, and audit requirements is a plus.
Job Responsiblitiesansactions
- Ensure accurate posting in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Prepare and review vouchers, invoices, and receipts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely vendor payments
- Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances
- Perform bank and ledger reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and tax regulations
- Assist in budgeting and monitor expenses against the budget
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and reporting
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Coordinate with departments for financial data and reporting
- Analyse financial data and highlight variances
- Perform other accounting tasks as assigned
