Accounts Payable Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s payable transactions, verifying invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The candidate should ensure timely payments to vendors while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and payment requests
• Ensure accurate data entry and posting of transactions in the accounting system
• Prepare and process payment runs (bank transfers, cheques, etc.)
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies
• Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and supporting documents
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment queries
• Assist with month-end closing and accounts payable reporting
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures and company policies

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of accounting software / ERP systems is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
