Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist

Location: In-Person, Little Rock, AR

Job type: Full-Time (35–40 hours per week)

Pay Range : $19.00 – $23.00 per hour based on experience

In addition to providing students with course materials, we manage numerous on-campus bookstores across the country. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to support a centralized AP function for a multi-entity organization. This role will handle day-to-day accounts payable activities for several businesses and requires a strong foundation in AP processes, accuracy, and time management. The position is fully in-person and works closely with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.

Job Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently for multiple business entities
• Manage invoice intake, coding, and approval processes
• Utilize Bill.com as the primary AP platform (training available if needed)
• Maintain accurate vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
• Reconcile discrepancies and resolve AP issues in a timely manner
• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Maintain organized and complete AP documentation
• Collaborate with internal departments to support smooth invoice processing
• Perform other related duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience
• Experience supporting AP functions for multiple locations or entities
• Bill.com experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage a schedule including multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to work fully in-person
• Strong communication, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with standard office and accounting software
