Accounts Payable Specialist

Connell Material Handling is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting daily accounting operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and internal financial documentation.
We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and able to communicate effectively across departments while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation
- Maintain vendor records and assist with vendor inquiries
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with credit card reconciliations and expense reporting
- Maintain organized accounting and payment records
- Communicate with internal departments regarding invoice approvals and payment status
- Support month-end closing and other accounting projects as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Qualifications
- Previous accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
