Summary

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team at Sharkey Transportation, Inc. This role is essential in ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, contributing directly to our operational success and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Prepare reports on accounts payable activities for management review.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and McLeod Software is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
