As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team.

Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a key role in managing vendor invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position ensures timely and accurate payment operations while supporting the overall accounting function.

This role is primarily focused on Accounts Payable, with opportunities to expand into Accounts Receivable and additional accounting responsibilities over time as part of career growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, credits, and payments accurately and efficiently
• Review invoices for discrepancies, pricing issues, and proper approvals
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable records
• Communicate with vendors to resolve billing and payment issues
• Assist with month-end closing and prepare accounts payable reports
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Support daily financial operations, including cash and credit card balancing
• Answer incoming calls and assist with administrative accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Experience with DDI Inform (or similar ERP/accounting systems) is a plus
• Experience in plumbing, construction, or trades industry is a plus
