Job Overview
Northeastern Air Quality is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Remote Business Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis. As a leading provider of environmental consulting services, we are dedicated to improving air quality for residential and commercial clients through expert testing, assessment, and innovative solutions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analysing our business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and bridging the gap between our technical teams and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions. This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in the United States. The offered compensation for this role is $50 - $60 USD per hour, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
• Translate complex business needs into clear and concise functional specifications for our technical and operational teams.
• Analyse and model business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency in our air quality assessment and consulting services.
• Conduct data analysis on client projects and internal operations to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows, use cases, and business requirements documents.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with both internal teams and external clients to ensure alignment and clear communication.
• Support project managers in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience working as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in business analysis methodologies and tools.
• Strong experience with data analysis and visualisation tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, or Tableau is highly desirable.
• A genuine interest in environmental services or experience within the environmental consulting industry would be a significant advantage.
• Must be highly self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
