Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial policies. Responsibilities

• Process and verify all incoming invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices by adhering to established payment schedules and policies.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions by comparing system records with vendor statements and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain organized records of all transactions, supporting documentation, and audit trails for compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to resolve invoice issues or payment inquiries efficiently.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including accruals and reporting.
• Support process improvements by identifying opportunities for automation or workflow enhancements within accounts payable procedures.

Skills

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with vendors and internal teams.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance standards related to accounts payable.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach.
