Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for precision and a knack for problem-solving? We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our AP operations, ensuring that every invoice is processed accurately, every vendor relationship is nurtured, and our financial records remain pristine.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice & Voucher Management: Ensure timely and accurate processing of AP vouchers and monitor automated uploads for completeness.
• Payment Processing: Manage daily and weekly check runs and oversee corporate credit card and expense reimbursement systems.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare AP and GL reports, payment plans, and perform ad hoc research to support the accounting team.
• Vendor Relations: Maintain up-to-date vendor master information and perform monthly statement reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.
• Internal Controls: Foster a strong control environment by maintaining departmental internal controls and performing spot checks for accuracy.
• Administrative Excellence: Maintain a systematic filing system for all AP records and assist with sorting/scanning mail and month-end closing activities.
• Strategic Support: Identify potential bottlenecks in the AP process and recommend actionable resolutions to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
• Experience: Proven track record in accounts payable or a relevant accounting role.
• Technical Skills: * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Concur).
• Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
• Strong understanding of expense accounts, cost centers, and GL experience.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with AP compliance issues (W-9, sales tax, etc.).
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
