This role will be based in our Las Colinas office.

Rick’s Custom Fencing & Decking is a private equity-backed organization scaling nationally through organic growth and acquisitions. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the corporate finance function across multiple operating companies.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and scalable AP processes as the platform grows. The role will report into the Corporate Controller and will support standardization and automation of AP workflows across the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process high-volume vendor invoices across multiple operating companies, ensuring accuracy, coding, and proper approvals
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice intake, matching (PO/receipt), and payment processing
  • Maintain vendor master data, including W-9 collection and 1099 tracking
  • Support weekly payment runs (ACH, check, virtual card) and ensure adherence to internal controls
  • Partner with OpCo leaders and field teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and approval delays
  • Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close activities
  • Monitor AP aging and proactively address past due balances or vendor issues
  • Support implementation and optimization of AP automation tools (e.g., Ramp or equivalent)
  • Assist with audit requests and provide documentation for internal and external audits
  • Contribute to process documentation and standardization as new OpCos are integrated
  • Support special projects and acquisition integrations as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2–5 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Experience in multi-entity or multi-location environments strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with accounting systems (Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar); experience with AP automation tools is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas)
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and internal controls

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
