Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling statements, additional ad hoc requests from the management and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth financial operations and supporting the overall accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

• Open incoming mails and sort to be sent to approving managers any invoices and all other mails to be sent to appropriate departments (via interoffice mails or email).
• Receive approved invoices coming from different channels (interoffice mails, emails, and other direct drop off).
• Review, verify, and process vendors invoices and expense reports.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
• Prepare and process payments (e.g. checks, ACH, wire).
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Assists with month-end closing, audit and reporting tasks.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues.
• Flexible and Dynamic in changing situations specially in additional ad hoc requests from the management
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting (Degree in Accounting a plus)
• 4+ years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting role
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. SAP, Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, or similar)
• Excel experience (basic to intermediate)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational skills, communication skills, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• This position does not supervise employees.

Pay: $26.45 - $31.25 per hour
