Schedule: 4 Days Onsite (Temp Period) | Hybrid 3 Days Onsite Upon Permanent Conversion

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (Expected conversion within 3–6 months)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a respected organization in Newark, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on Accounts Payable professional who can manage daily A/P operations while demonstrating leadership potential to grow into a long-term supervisory role.

The selected candidate will begin in a temporary capacity, with an expected permanent conversion within 3–6 months. Once converted, the role will transition to a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable functions and ensure timely processing of invoices
• Manage vendor payments, payment runs, and resolve payment discrepancies
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and account reconciliations
• Support month-end close activities including accruals, reporting, and A/P ledger accuracy
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting procedures
• Investigate and resolve invoice, PO, and vendor-related issues
• Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams
• Provide guidance and leadership support with opportunity to step into a full supervisory role

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including lead or supervisory responsibilities
• Strong understanding of full-cycle Accounts Payable processes
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and vendor management
• ERP system experience and strong Excel skills
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Leadership mindset with desire to grow into an A/P Supervisor position
