Job Title : Accounts Payable Specialist

Location : Northbrook, IL

Salary Range : $26-29/hour

Role Overview : Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for an Accounts Payable Specialist, for our manufacturing client located in Northbrook, IL. They are seeking an individual with a minimum of 2 years of AP experience as well as experience with SAP. This is a long term contract role with potential to convert, and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately!

Key Responsibilities :

• Reviews all invoices and check requests for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Processes high volume three-way P.O. matching invoices.
• Prioritizes invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
• Responds to all vendor inquiries.
• Reconciles vendor statements, researches, and corrects discrepancies.
• Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Sorts and distributes incoming mail.
• Research daily shipment exceptions and routes for approval.
• Participates in daily peer review of invoice entry confirming accuracy.
• Assists in month-end close.
• Assists with projects as needed.

Qualifications :

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Coupa or SAP experience is REQUIRED
• Ability to work independently, problem solving, organization skills, responsible
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate discrepancies
• Strong written and verbal communications skill
