Accounts Payable Specialist

A highly professional personal injury law firm is searching for a full-time Accounts Payable professional to be added to our team and growing business.

We are seeking full-time Accounts Payable professional to handle the day-today accounts payable operations and bookkeeping using QuickBooks.

Accounts Payable Specialist Essential Responsibilities:

· Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of accounts payable.

· Monitor the AP inbox and respond to internal and external inquiries related to invoices, payments, and reimbursements.

· Review and analyze vendor invoices, ensure proper booking and allocation to the appropriate client

· Process weekly payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

· Utilize Positive Pay to monitor and manage outgoing checks.

· Follow up on checks that have been outstanding for more than three weeks

· Obtain and maintain W-9 form for all new vendors

· Lead the annual process for 1099 reporting

· Accurate allocation of credit card transactions.

· Assist in producing disbursement reports by case.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 3-5 years’ Account Payable experience
  • Experience in a larger personal injury law firm is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks online, Microsoft Office required
  • SmartAdvocate case management software preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Professional who takes pride in his or her work and seeks to continually make improvements

Job Type: Full-time (Hybrid remote)

Experience:

  • QuickBooks: 2 years (Required)
  • Law office: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Bookkeeping: 4 years (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • New York, NY 10119 (Required)

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
