Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be primarily responsible for assisting in the oversight and processing of accounts payable for Harvey Cleary and related affiliates. This position will also perform other accounting related tasks as needed by departmental management.


S upervisory Responsibilities: None


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and processes daily payment runs for Harvey Cleary and related entities.
  • Monitoring/management of the company’s accounts payable email as it relates to the receipt of vendor invoices to ensure timely submission into HH2
  • Monitor and oversee accounts payable workflow process in HH2 system to ensure timely processing while paying strict attention to sales/use tax implications.
  • Assists in the responsibility for vendor setup and maintenance in Sage and HH2. This will transition to CMIC upon that implementation.
  • Responsible for the follow up and resolution to vendor inquiries.
  • Processing of expense reports and ensure appropriate support is included.
  • Assist Accounts Payable team in ACH vendor verification as time permits. This requires diligent follow-up with respective vendors and attention to detail on data entry.
  • Assists with monthly bank account reconciliations.
  • Other related duties as assigned, including scanning and file storage of applicable accounting records.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Position requires strict attention to detail.
  • Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
  • Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in accounts payable required.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent required.
  • Business or Accounting degree preferred.
  • Experience with Sage 300 or CMIC preferred


Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.



Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen. Random drug screens will also be conducted for the duration of employment.
