Accounts Payable Specialist

To be considered, candidates MUST be fully bilingual in English and Spanish and willing to work on-site at our headquarters in Aventura.

Position Overview


Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Payable Specialist and become a vital contributor to our company's financial health! In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Your expertise will help uphold our commitment to compliance, efficiency, and financial integrity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge accounting software and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Process and verify all incoming invoices using various accounting software such as Sage Intacct or QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies related to accounts payable transactions.
  • Prepare and record journal entries related to payments, accruals, and other financial activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Manage vendor onboarding, maintain vendor records, and ensure all payments adhere to contractual terms.
  • Support month-end closing activities by reconciling the general ledger and assisting with audit requests.
  • Utilize data entry skills for accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
  • Collaborate with human resources and payroll teams using systems like ADP or UltiPro for benefits administration and payroll management.


Qualifications


  • +3 years of proven experience in Accounts Payable within corporate or public accounting environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting standards or non-profit accounting is a plus.
  • Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation and identifying discrepancies quickly.
  • Ability to perform detailed data entry with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency).
  • Full bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
