Accounts Payable Specialist - Part Time

Experienced Account Payable Specialist needed for a permanent part-time position, located in Carrollton, TX. This role is a very important part of a very small finance team. We desire a strong candidate with excellent time management skills, willingness to maintain a high volume of work with extreme attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of AP experience, ideally with an importer or product company.
• NetSuite experience preferred with good working knowledge and previous use in an AP role.
• Understanding of freight, customs duty, and landed costs.
• Experience processing international vendor invoices associated with purchases orders and foreign currency.
• Knowledge of accounting best practices and rules.
• Ability to work remotely or onsite
• Flexible weekday hours, exact schedule TBD upon start.
• Experience setting up wires and ACH payments.

Responsibilities:

• Posting invoices and credit notes and ensuring they’re coded correctly in the system
• Monthly supplier and vendor reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding invoices
• Preparing and processing supplier payments via ACH and Wire
• Maintain professional and timely communication with vendors and company personnel
• Prepare and report the weekly AP run and make recommendations for payments
• Ability to work independently and manage time to ensure all invoices are posted timely.
• Assist as needed with month end reconciliations and accruals related to AP
• Ensure all invoices are recorded according to GAAP
