Job Summary:

The AP Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, adherence to financial policies and regulatory requirements, and the implementation of best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. This role involves managing vendor relationships, supporting financial decision-making through timely reporting, and mentoring junior AP staff. The AP Accounting Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining financial discipline, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement strict financial control for the AP section in compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely booking of suppliers’ invoices based on Goods Receipt Note (GRN) and PO value and liaise with SCM in case of any mismatch.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and SCM team and resolve any issues or payments/invoices disputes.
  • Follow up with suppliers to close outstanding advance payments and improve working capital management.
  • Prepare accurate tax returns and ensure that company taxes are paid in a timely manner.
  • Support decision-making through timely submittal of relevant Accounts Payables reports with minimum errors.
  • Ensure all AP transactions and accruals are accurately recorded and reconciled before month-end close.
  • Oversee the completion of year-end closing activities, including accurate and timely recording of all AP transactions, accruals, reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Ensure completion of all accounting records and supporting documentation for AP transactions, including invoices, receipts, and correspondence, are accurately filed and easily retrievable, to support timely auditing and publishing financial statements.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline accounts payable processes and reduce invoice/reporting processing times and enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop new reports in ERP-MSD system to enhance automation and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Mentor day to day activities of AP Accountant and provide guidance, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting and Finance.
  • Alternatively Graduate in any discipline with relevant certification.
  • 5-7 years’ experience of Accountancy experience.
  • 2-3 Years Experience in supervisory level.
  • Experience in the process equipment manufacturing industry is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and accounting software.


Technical:

Preferred but not mandatory:

  • IFRS Diploma/CMA/ACCA Certification.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Accounting Regulations.
  • Training in ERP-MSD and MS-office.
