We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable/Bookkeeper to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, with proficiency in QUICKBOOKS and financial concepts. This role involves managing accounts payable processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting overall bookkeeping functions to ensure the financial integrity of our organization.

Duties

• Process and verify accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
• Reconcile bank statements, itemize transactions in Quickbooks
• Manage accounts payable
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to record financial transactions efficiently.
• Maintain organized records of all financial documents while ensuring adherence to governmental accounting standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting within corporate or non-profit environments.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and account analysis.
• Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately and efficiently.
• Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10 key typing is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, account reconciliation, and financial report writing.
