Duties
- Process and verify all accounts payable transactions using various accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Manage accounts receivable by invoicing clients, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts to ensure steady cash flow.
- Perform account reconciliations on the general ledger, balance sheets, and subsidiary ledgers to maintain accurate financial records.
- Enter data meticulously through 10-key typing and double-entry bookkeeping to support precise financial reporting.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures including journal entries, account analysis, and financial statement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, tax preparation, and financial audits to ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable functions within corporate or governmental accounting environments.
- Strong familiarity with accounting software such as Quickbooks.
- Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent math skills coupled with strong attention to detail for account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation.
