Meridian Bird Removal is the fastest-growing bird management company in the country, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Coordinator to support our Finance team.
This role helps ensure the smooth operation of Meridian’s financial processes by managing invoicing, payments, and financial records while collaborating with teams across the company.
This position is primarily remote; however, candidates must live within 25 miles of Christiansburg, VA and be able to travel to the Christiansburg offices two days per week (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday).
This position requires a dedicated, quiet home workspace that allows you to conduct calls and complete work without interruptions. Employees must have reliable childcare or other arrangements during scheduled work hours to ensure full attention to job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Accounts Receivable
- Generate and verify customer invoices across multiple systems
- Confirm job completion before invoicing
- Ensure sales tax accuracy across Salesforce, QuickBooks, and Avalara
- Post customer payments and process credit card transactions
- Balance daily sales and deposit reports
- Send payment confirmations and required service reports to customers
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices in QuickBooks and prepare payments
- Coordinate weekly bill payment approvals with Finance leadership
- Issue payments via ACH, online systems, or check
- Monitor the AP inbox and respond to vendor inquiries
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Banking and Financial Support
- Process incoming mail and remote bank deposits
- Upload deposit documentation and assist with banking verification
- Support expense reconciliation and financial reporting
- Help maintain accurate data across QuickBooks, Salesforce, and Avalara
What Success Looks Like
- Accurate and timely customer invoicing
- Vendor payments processed on time with no late fees
- Daily sales reports and deposits balanced
- Organized and accurate financial records
- Strong collaboration across departments
Basic Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- 1-3 years experience with AP/AR, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial processing preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comfortable working with financial systems and data
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
