Accounts Receivable Officer

Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Executive is responsible for managing incoming payments, tracking outstanding invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collections from clients, tenants, and property buyers. The role plays a key part in maintaining the company’s cash flow and financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Billing & Invoicing

  • Generate and issue invoices for property sales, rentals, maintenance charges, CAM charges, and other real estate services.
  • Ensure invoices are accurate as per agreements and contracts.
  • Maintain proper documentation of client agreements and payment schedules.

2. Collections Management

  • Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments.
  • Follow up with buyers, tenants, and brokers for outstanding dues.
  • Send payment reminders and demand notices.
  • Coordinate with legal team for escalations if required.

3. Payment Processing

  • Record daily receipts (cheques, bank transfers, online payments).
  • Reconcile payments with invoices.
  • Update ERP/accounting software with accurate entries.

4. Account Reconciliation

  • Perform monthly AR reconciliations.
  • Resolve discrepancies in billing or payments.
  • Prepare aging reports (30/60/90 days).

5. Reporting

  • Prepare weekly/monthly AR reports.
  • Provide collection forecasts to management.
  • Support audit requirements with proper documentation.

6. Customer Coordination

  • Address client queries related to billing and payments.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable (preferably in real estate or construction).
  • Knowledge of real estate billing structures (installment plans, leasing, CAM charges).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software/ERP.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in property management firms or real estate developers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
