Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary:

An Accounts Receivable (AR) professional is responsible for managing incoming payments, properly tracking them into the system, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role ensures timely collection of outstanding invoices and supports the organization’s cash flow management.

Primary Responsibilities include:

· Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on time

· Post payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards) to customer accounts

· Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and follow up as needed

· Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for

· Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes

· Prepare account aging reports and assist with monthly financial closing

· Maintain accurate customer records and documentation

· Assist with credit checks and setting up new customer accounts

· Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

· Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or bookkeeping

· Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

· Proficiency in accounting software (preferably QuickBooks Enterprise) and Microsoft Excel

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

· Ability to handle confidential financial information

· Computer literate and proficient in MS Office.

· Good administrative and organizational skills.
