Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable process and ensuring timely collection of payments from customers. This is a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization.

Duties:
- Review and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy. Process and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customer payments, follow up on outstanding or deliquent accounts including collections
- Perform credit analysis on new and existing customers to determine creditworthiness
- Assist with account analysis and provide reports on outstanding balances
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing or payment-related inquiries
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications with customers
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to customer inquiries

Requirements:
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and basic financial concepts
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit analysis, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of coding and account reconciliation processes
- Proficient in data entry and working with financial software systems
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
