Lead Revenue Cycle Operations That Support Patient Care
Suburban Hematology Oncology Associates (SHOA) is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead key functions within our Patient Financial Services and Revenue Cycle operations.
This role is responsible for overseeing insurance follow-up, self-pay collections, payment posting, financial counseling support, and revenue cycle workflow management across multiple clinic locations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who understands both the operational and patient-centered sides of healthcare revenue cycle management.

What You’ll Do
- Supervise day-to-day Accounts Receivable and Patient Financial Services operations
- Oversee insurance follow-up, self-pay collections, payment posting, and financial counseling workflows
- Monitor productivity, account resolution, and aging reports
- Assist with patient billing concerns and escalated account issues
- Collaborate with front desk, verification, pre-certification, and billing teams
- Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, billing regulations, and organizational policies
- Support workflow improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
- Train, coach, and support departmental staff
- Participate in financial reporting and revenue cycle analysis
- Maintain detailed documentation and account follow-up activity
- Serve as a liaison between clinic operations and revenue cycle departments
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–4 years of healthcare revenue cycle or patient financial services experience
- Previous experience in billing, collections, insurance follow-up, or financial counseling
- Knowledge of Medicare, PPO, HMO, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Oncology or specialty practice experience
- College degree preferred
- CPT / ICD-10 knowledge
- Bilingual English/Spanish
