In this role, you will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the intricacies of installing acoustical materials such as panels and soundproofing solutions. Your responsibilities will include assisting with material preparation, using power tools, and contributing to a collaborative and safety-focused work environment. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop valuable skills in carpentry and acoustical installation while contributing to the creation of comfortable and sound-efficient spaces.

Job Responsibilities:

·Professional Development: Attend required training sessions, workshops, and classes as part of the apprenticeship program to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

· Assist in Acoustical Installations: Work under the guidance of experienced team members to install various acoustical materials, including panels, tiles, and soundproofing solutions, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications.

· Read and Interpret Blueprints: Develop the ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements and layouts.

· Power Tools Operation: Learn to safely and effectively operate a variety of power tools and equipment used in carpentry and acoustical installation processes.

· Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and other construction professionals to ensure seamless coordination and execution of acoustical installation projects.

· Material Handling and Preparation: Assist in the handling, cutting, and preparation of acoustical materials, ensuring accurate measurements and compliance with safety standards.

·Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety meetings and training.

· Quality Control: Participate in quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction are maintained.

Job Requirements:

· Enrollment in Carpenter's Union Apprenticeship Program: Currently registered or eligible for enrollment in a recognized Carpenter's Union Apprenticeship Program.

· Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks in various environmental conditions.

· Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.

· Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients.

·Initiative: Proactive and eager to learn, with a strong work ethic and commitment to professional development.

· Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to meeting project deadlines. Vehicle required to get to and from job sites.

Reports To: Project Foreman and Superintendent. Occasional meetings/discussions will be held to make sure the apprentice is achieving company objectives and is performing as expected

Pay: From $21.45 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
