As a Journeyman, you will play a crucial role in executing acoustical projects with exceptional craftsmanship. Your responsibilities will include interpreting blueprints, operating power tools, providing mentorship to apprentices, and collaborating with the team to ensure the successful completion of high-quality acoustical solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acoustical Installation: Execute precise installations of acoustical materials, including panels and soundproofing solutions, in adherence to project specifications.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements and layouts accurately.
- Power Tool Operation:Safely and effectively operate various power tools and equipment used in carpentry and acoustical installation processes.
- Material Handling: Handle, cut, and prepare acoustical materials, ensuring accurate measurements and compliance with safety standards.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices, fostering a collaborative and skill-enhancing work environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other construction professionals to ensure seamless coordination and successful execution of acoustical installation projects.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, actively participating in safety meetings, and ensuring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Quality Control: Enforce and participate in quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends and techniques through continued education and training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Job Requirements:

Reports To: Project Foreman and Superintendent. Occasional meetings/discussions will be held to make sure the journeyman is achieving company objectives and is performing as expected
Pay: $52.24 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
