Acquisitions Analyst


JOB SUMMARY

The Acquisitions Analyst will assist in executing the company's Build-to-Rent (BTR) investment strategy by engaging in essential investment management activities, including financial, operational, and market analysis. This role involves close collaboration with senior leadership.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain underwriting models to analyze the acquisition of raw land, vacant developed lots, and both lease-up and stabilized communities
  • Compile and assess market data, and create detailed investment memoranda, reports, and market summaries to provide insight into proposed acquisitions
  • Develop and maintain reports to monitor existing and potential assets, as well as market trades. Manages files, documents, plans, contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and exhibits
  • Leads the due diligence process, sourcing materials and procuring documentation on significant findings that could impact the financial performance of an asset under contract
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with local brokers, institutional and equity partners, homebuilders, developers, and real estate owners – manages on-going communications related to proposed investment transactions
  • Develop and maintain market knowledge through regular reading of industry trade journals, economic forecasts, company earnings presentations, and relevant news sources

JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Finance and / or Real Estate concentration preferred)

  • 1+ years of prior work experience in Real Estate or related field preferred
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Word, and ability to learn other company software as needed
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to show ownership of work, embrace challenges and recognize growth opportunities
  • Professional demeanor, with courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
