Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Instructor to join our team. Applicants must be available to teach 1 class on Wednesdays at 4pm to 5pm.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acro and/or gymnastics and experience in teaching students ages 6 to 14 years old. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering a positive learning environment for both children and adults. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in nurturing students' love for dance while promoting their personal growth and development. The class is an acro level 1/2 class for ages 6+ years old.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive dance curricula that cater to different skill levels and age groups.
- Teach various dance styles with an emphasis on technique, creativity, and expression.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain an encouraging and respectful environment.
- Provide individualized tutoring and support to students as needed to enhance their learning experience.
- Organize performances and recitals to showcase student progress and achievements.
- Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary programs that may include elements of theater or culinary arts.
- Maintain an organized classroom space that is conducive to learning and creativity.
- Engage with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Must be available Wednesdays at 4pm.
- Proven experience in teaching dance, with a focus on acro preferred.
- Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
- Experience working with children or adults in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Background in early childhood education or special education is a plus.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with additional skills such as photography, cooking, sewing, or theater can enhance the instructional experience.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
