ACT Tutor

Job Overview
Seeking a tutor to prepare high school student for the ACT test. This will be one-on-one tutoring at business owner's home in Edina. Tutor should have experience with tutoring and preparing students for the ACT.

Hours: This job will span from April - July. Ideally 2-3 hours per week. Hours could be after school or weekends. Looking for someone who may have flexibility with scheduling.

Materials will be provided (both online ACT test prep and ACT test booklets)

Duties

• Deliver engaging, personalized tutoring sessions focused on ACT test components, including Math, English, Reading, Science, and Writing
• Develop tailored lesson plans and curriculum materials that align with students’ individual needs and learning styles
• Assess student progress regularly through practice tests and formative assessments, providing constructive feedback
• Prepare students for test day by teaching time management skills, test strategies, and stress reduction techniques

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with ACT preparation
• Strong knowledge of Math, English, Science, Reading comprehension, and Writing skills relevant to the ACT exam
• Familiarity with learning technology tools used for instructional purposes
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and confidently
• Skilled in lesson planning
• Exceptional writing skills for creating instructional materials and providing student feedback

Pay: $40.00 per hour
