ACT Tutor

Inquisitive Mind Tutoring is a tutoring consulting firm located in Collierville, TN. Our mission is to increase academic confidence and independence.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ACT tutor to work with students in grades 9-12. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for teaching and experience working with high school students. The position is part-time and requires consistent availability during afterschool hours.

Requirements:

• Current College Student (minimum)
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year (2 semester) employment commitment
• Strong knowledge of ACT Test
• ACT Test score: 28+ (required)
• Prior experience working with high school students
• Strong knowledge of high school curriculum and teaching methods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment
• Flexibility and adaptability in response to student needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction in various subject areas, including Math, Reading, English, and Science.
• Assess and monitor student progress regularly
• Communicate with parents and director to provide updates on student progress
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
